Kate never stands still. She founded the #1 all girl personal training team in east London (KBPT) and has always had an ambition to run fitness retreats.
Having moved from London to Braunton in 2015, she wants to share North Devon and her tried-and-tested training techniques with as many people as possible.
A qualified Level 3 personal trainer, pre natal personal trainer and post natal personal trainer, Kate’s passion for fitness is infectious. With a decade’s experience in the industry, Kate specialises in sandbells, TRX, Beamfit, nutrition, weight loss, functional body weight, rehabilitation, cancer recovery, kettlebells, ViPR, BOSU, rebounding, strength training, medicine ball, swiss ball, running, boxing, cycling and sport-specific training.
Outside of work, Kate’s a keen runner and cyclist and, of course, a regular at the gym and yoga classes. She’s also raised over £70,000 for charity through various fitness challenges. Her PT clients describe her as enthusiastic, motivating and kind. Yes, she’ll work you hard but you’ll have a smile on your face!
Aimee got her first taste of yoga at the age of 14. She attended classes while at university and qualified at Level 2 in Hatha Yoga in Byron Bay, Australia, before returning home to teach yoga in North Devon over the last five years.
Aimee runs her own yoga and massage business in nearby Barnstaple where she teaches gentle Hatha, Hatha flow, restorative yoga and yin yoga. She is trained in pre natal and post natal yoga and sports therapy massage.
Kate tried a few local yoga classes when she moved here and Aimee’s are her favourite so we’re delighted she’s part of our retreat team. Whether you’re a complete beginner or more experienced at yoga, Aimee will help you get out of your head and into you body.
Wild camping and hiking on Exmoor as a child gave Alistair his love of the outdoors. He now spends his spare time surfing, hiking, road cycling, mountain biking, running, doing motocross and working as a coastguard.
Based in Braunton, Alistair knows the North Devon coastline like the back of his hand so he’s the perfect walking guide for your retreat. With the South West Coastal Path starting next to Saunton Sands Hotel, there are walks to suit everyone. Rain or shine, Alistair will get you outside – as he says, “there’s no such thing as bad weather, just inadequate equipment”.
Tess enjoys creating recipes, nutritional blogs and other content for KBPT’s social channels. She also loves keeping active – as well as weekly personal training sessions with KBPT, she takes her dog for long walks every day.
Tess helps to manage our social media content for the retreats, with a focus on sourcing stories and images that inspire you to join us here in North Devon.
